Point Reyes, Season 2

On a enfin trouvé une excuse pour retourner à la maison de Point Reyes: le long week-end de Labor Day, la semaine dernière. Et cette fois-ci, on y a emmené nos amis G et K, ainsi que leur petite DragonBaby, pour le plus grand plaisir de nos plus-si-petits à nous!

Côté ballade, on a sélectionné des marches courtes, avec une plage au bout de préférence.

Celle de McClures, que les enfants et moi connaissions déjà.

Et celle de Limantour, plus abritée du brouillard, avec son sentier côtier.

Et côté maison, on a bien profité du bateau pirate au fond du jardin,

du court de tennis,

- même si la prochaine fois, on saura qu'on a affaire à des semi-pros, et on emmènera des baskets -

et du barbecue... Tout le monde a apprécié autant que moi la première fois. Et même le ciel nous a fait comprendre qu'on avait bien fait de revenir!

We finally found an excuse to go back to the Point Reyes house: the long weekend of Labor Day, last week. And this time, we took our friends G and K, as well as their little DragonBaby with us, which got our not-so-little ones so excited!
Outdoor-wise, we selected a few short hikes, preferably ending on a beach.
Like the McClures trail, that the kids and I had already been to.
And the Limantour coastal trail and beach, which was a little more sheltered from the fog.
And at the house, we enjoyed very much the pirate ship at the end of the backyard,
the tennis court - although next time, we'll know we are up against semi-pros, and we'll pack sneakers - and the barbecue... Everyone loved it as much as I did the first time, and even the sky approved of us coming back!
