Bon, visite chez la gynéco aujourd'hui, et - attention, pour les âmes sensibles, vous n'êtes pas obligés de lire la suite - bilan du bidule, 50% d'effacement, et 1 cm de dilatation. À plus de quatre semaines de la date prévue d'accouchement*, ça sent un peu le chaud.
Apparemment, ça ne veut pas dire grand-chose. Pour Tipoulet, j'étais d'ailleurs à 3 cm de dilatation 5 jours avant que le travail ne commence. Certes. Mais quand même, quand j'ai demandé si ça pouvait repartir dans l'autre sens (ben si, j'ai demandé, ne vous moquez pas), on m'a dit que non. En même temps, 1 cm maintenant est 1 cm que je n'aurai pas à faire le jour J, je vais pas me plaindre.
Donc, là, on va quand même se prendre par la main, et faire nos plans d'actions et nos sacs. Surtout le sac de Tipoulet, d'ailleurs, qu'on déposera chez nos amis G et K si le travail commence au milieu de la nuit ou un jour où il n'est pas au daycare.
Et ce week-end, on installe le siège-auto, on remonte le lit-bébé et on récupère les fringues taille 1M passées à ma copine il y a deux mois...
* En France, le terme théorique est à 41 semaines de grossesse, alors qu'aux US, on compte seulement 40.
Well, I just had an appointment with the OBGYN today, and - warning, for the faint hearted, you don't have to read the rest - to sum the thing up, 50% effacement, and 1 cm dilation. More than three weeks before the due date*, it seems to be getting pretty close.
Apparently, it doesn't mean much, though. For Tipoulet I was actually at 3 cm five days before labor began. Sure. But still, when I asked if it could go back (well of course I asked, don't make fun of me), she said no. Still, 1 cm now is 1 cm that I won't have to deal with on D day, so I'm not going to complain.
So now, we're going to grow up for a minute and get our action plans and our bags ready. Especially Tipoulet's bag, whom we will drop off at our friends G and K's place if labor begins in the middle of the night or on a day he is not in daycare.
And this weekend, we'll install the car seat, put the crib together again and get back the newborn clothes that my girlfriend borrowed two months ago...
