The farm*

Un des trucs supers quand on habite dans la baie de San Francisco, c'est qu'on profite à la fois de la ville et de la nature. Certes, pour des anciens parisiens, "ville" peut sonner un peu faux quand on parle de Palo Alto. Mais d'un autre côté, la nature parisienne, elle, se limite aux pigeons et aux platanes, donc bon...

Ici, on peut habiter à 5 minutes à pied du siège de Hewlett-Packard ou de Facebook (et croiser Mark Zuckerberg en faisant le marché), et aller voir des poules au pâté de maisons d'à côté, ou croiser des canards sauvages, hérons, ratons-laveurs, et même des coyottes...



Si on regarde les chiffres, ville et nature sont d'ailleurs on ne peut plus en équilibre puisqu'on a croisé 1 Mark Zuckerberg, et 1 coyote, depuis que nous sommes arrivés...

* le titre fait référence au surnom de Stanford, qui a été construite sur les terres agricoles de Leland Stanford.

Here you can live 5 minutes away from the headquarters of Hewlett-Packard or Facebook (and see Mark Zuckerberg at the farmer's market), and find chickens around the corner, or see wild ducks, herons, raccoons, and coyotes even...
If we look at the numbers, city and nature couldn't be better balanced, since we've actually seen 1 Mark Zuckerberg, and 1 coyote, since we've been here.
