Mandatory vacation

Jeudi et vendredi, le daycare est fermé pour formation des instituteurs. D'habitude, dans ces cas-là, P et moi nous relayons pour faire des demi-journées au labo. Mais cette fois-ci, on a décidé d'en profiter pour se faire un long week-end. Pour fêter que P a maintenant son labo à Stanford, et aussi juste comme ça...

The daycare is closed for staff development days on Thursday and Friday. Usually P and I take turns to go to lab for half-days. But this time we decided that we were going to go away for a long week-end instead. To celebrate the fact that P is now faculty at Stanford, but also for no reason at all...
We're headed to Monterey and Big Sur until Sunday. We'll tell you about it when we come back.
