Six mois après le reste de la planète, on a finalement regardé Frozen tous les 3 ce soir.

Enfin, ne vous méprenez pas, vous allez voir qu'ils connaissent quand même bien les paroles, pour un premier visionnage - merci YouTube et les petits camarades d'école! 



Y a même la chorégraphie, c'est dommage que Mr Disney ne me laisse pas incruster l'original...

Six months after the rest of the world, we just watched Frozen tonight. Well, don't you worry, you'll see that they know the lyrics pretty well already for a first time - thanks to YouTube and their classmates. They even have the choreography down, it's too bad Mr Disney won't let me embed the original...

J'ai oublié de vous présenter le chat adoptif des enfants. C'est celui des nouveaux voisins - qui louent la maison des anciens propriétaires -, mais je crois qu'il passe autant de temps chez nous que chez eux...

I haven't introduced the kids' adopted cat yet. It's the new neighbors' cat - they're leasing our former landlord's house -, but I think he spends as much time at our house than at theirs.

Irreconcilable differences

P et moi sommes définitivement séparés depuis 3 semaines. Mais cette fois-ci, je reste calme et totalement perpendiculaire au sol. Je vais bien, les enfants aussi, et c'est tout ce qui compte.

P and I have been permanently separated for 3 weeks now. But this time, I am staying calm and completely perpendicular to the ground. I am doing well, the kids are too, and it's all that matters.

Happy Mother's Day!

Bon, en vrai, la Fête des Mères, ici, c'était il y a quinze jours... Mais comme c'est aujourd'hui en France, j'en profite pour faire une session de rattrapage...

Cette année, j'ai eu ma première vraie carte, écrite et décorée par mon Tipoulet.

Et quelques jours avant, il m'avait fait une très jolie déclaration, quand j'étais allée lui faire un câlin dans son lit à notre retour d'un resto.

Moi: "Mon loulou, je te fais pas un bisou pour de vrai, sinon, je vais te mettre du rouge à lèvres partout..."
Tipoulet: "Pourquoi tu as mis du rouge à lèvres, Maman?"
Moi: "Bah, pour décorer un peu, pour être plus jolie, tu vois?"
Tipoulet: "Mais Maman, toi t'es déjà tellement jolie! T'as pas besoin de mettre du rouge à lèvres..."

Et bonne fête aussi à ma Maman, la plus jolie du monde!

So actually, Mother's Day was a couple of week-ends ago here... But since it is today in France, I'll take the opportunity to catch up a bit...
This year, I got my first real Mother's Day card, written and decorated by my Tipoulet.
And a few days earlier, he had said the sweetest thing, when I went to give him a kiss in bed after we came back from the restaurant.
Me: "Loulou, I'm not gonna give you a real kiss, otherwise I'll put lipstick all over your face..."
Tipoulet: "Why did you put on lipstick, Maman?"
Moi: "Well, just to look prettier, you see?"
Tipoulet: "But Maman, you're already so pretty! You don't need lipstick..."
And Happy Mother's Day to my mommy too, the prettiest in the whole world!

And did I mention I have a 6-year old?!

Et on finit la semaine des anniversaires...

L'avantage, c'est qu'à 6 ans, il fait son gâteau et allume ses bougies tout seul!...
